Main spheres of artist interest are: public-art , kinetic and light installations, interactive installations, kinetic sculptures and conceptual / abstract photography. Victor strives to apply his experience in studio photography in his stallations and sculptures, which engages light as a key medium.
A wide range of interests, such as geometrical optics, observational astronomy and astrophysics, the psychology of visual perception and cognitive science allows Victor to confidently move between different contexts when creating artwork.
Besides that Victor Polyakov is a guest lecturer. He lectured on the History of postwar public art, contemporary art and experimental photography.
